2 months in, would like your advice/input

I quit smoking about 2.5 months ago and shortly after started riding my bike 8 miles/day and have been pretty consistant with it (riding) since. At the same time I completely changed my eating habits. Switched to soy milk, started eating brocoli, carots, lots of chicken n rice, fish, and overal just good healthy stuff. I still reward myself once a week with something sinful like pizza or rich desert, etc. which is key for me. I'm didn't approach this as a diet, but rather a lifestyle change. I lift weights every other day. But before I get into that, I'll give you the basics. 29 years old 6ft tall 180lbs I started out with seemingly no muscle mass/muscle period and a growing gutt. I started doing 10 sets of 10 reps of 50lb bench press (weak!) followed up by 3 sets of 10 reps 50lb bar bell curls. After that I did 2 sets of 10 reps "lawnmower pull" 25lb dumbells (each side). I finished with 2 sets of 10 wrist curls with the same 25lb dumb bell. I did this for one month and with the combined cycling and eating healthy-really started to notice muscle tone, and loss of gutt. Now I'm into my second month and this is how I go: 10 sets of 8 reps 100lb bench press (half are incline and half flat bench.) and everything else is the same, except now when I do the lawnmower pulls, I extend it staight up above my head instead of bringing the dumbell to just my head. This helps work my shoulders more. I am certainly making gains and am never in pain, and am quite happy with where I'm at. My goal is not to get huge, or even slightly bulky. Just very fit with a broad upper section/chest and arms. Seems to be working out. I have no idea what I max out at as far as benching goes because I don't have that much weight, and I don't go to a gym. This is just a 100lb home bench press set, where the bar weighs maybe 5 lbs. I know eventually I'll hit a wall and need to go up in weight... Maybe. I may be exactly where I want to be with this 100lb bench routine after a couple months. So please, critique my strategy and offer any constructive help if possible. My buddy has given me some tips, but he is no expert either. I'm basically working all the mentioned muscle groups together on the same day, every other day. Is this too frequent? Would I see better/faster gains if I give myself more than 24 hours rest? I feel like every other day is working out well, and I have a hard time having the patience to go longer between workouts. I'm addicted to this routine. Working different muscle groups on consecutive days is not really an option with my work, etc. I like doing it all together on the same day. Oh yeah, I do 50 crunches every other day (same day as everything else) as well. I take about 2 minute breaks between each set when benching and use that time to stretch out and drink water. Thanks! Sorry for the huge post, its hard for me to get it all out in few words.

Mr. P, I'm sorry: you had me at "I quit smoking TWO AND A HALF MONTHS ago, ride my bike EIGHT MILES a day," and you're in a serious weight training routine! Dude, look up "inspiration" in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of YOU! I'll let the other guys critique your routine, and I'll just admire in awe your limitless ambition! Kudos and best of luck! :)

Heh.. Thanks! It was a build up of 10+ years of just plain unhealthy lifestyle habits and a small scare to trigger this motivation. This lifestyle improvement is something that I am in conrtol of, and when I see the positive changes in health, mood, etc. it's like fuel for my fire. It's awesome! Everything in my life is better. In the back of my head I always knew I'd get my $hit together when I approached age 30. It's amazing what 2 months of good can do in contrast to the 10+ years of bad.
