Is it alright to work squat and deadlift in the same day and will working squat help increase my deadlift?

they both work the quads but squat works it much more but yea it could help the other. i wouldnt recommend doing them in the same workout because they are very draining so they could limit how well u perform the 2nd one u choose to do.

i think its all up to u, ive tried both ways and find that when i add DL to back day it takes soooo much longer. But when i add DL to squat day...it takes way less time. But something u might wanna do, if u have a light leg day and a heavy leg day, throw it in on ur light leg day and its great cause u use the light stuff to warm-up.

Thanks guys. Ironraider, u still i high school? Those numbers are pretty impressive. I'm gonna start competing in powerlifting next february when our season starts.

naw i graduated in 06...but yeah dude powerlifting is a blasst...i loved fooball, and thought it was more fun then that. its great.
