100% Iso Whey-Biotech - Wednesday, March 23, 2005 2:38 AM
Hi guys. After much thinking and reading I finally decided a week ago to start taking supplements.I bought from BioTech,a little known company this Iso Whey which is definetly not 100% pure protein(marketing scheme?).But still it has:

23 g protein 1,2g fats <1g carbs

I am curently taking 3 servings per day on days when I workout and two when I don't.I take one after swimming, one after workout and one before I go to bed.I also eat 3 main meals(eggs, chicken breats, beef) every day so it doesn't substitute the income of protein from food.

What do you guys think of it?Does a protein shake serving equall a meal so if I take it 3 times per day+3 meals it results in 6 meals or should I take the protein shake with something to eat too?

Was my decission good to buy a high concentrate protein pounder as opposed to mass gainers even though I need to bulk up?My theory was that I could take enough good carbs and fats from regular meals.

Should I take a shake during workout/before I start and cancel the one I take before I go to sleep or after swimming or is my planing good?

Thanks again guys for your time..

3 shakes a day may be just too expensive (it should last for what...3 weeks ?)...can't you find the protein and carbs from normal food ?
a tuna salad, milk, yogurt...
try eating fruits, veggies, wheat bread....you need all the amino acids, all the vitamins you can get...
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

I eat 2 veggie salalts and tons of oranges, bananas and kiwis, yogurt and oatmeal -they are all in my daily meals.

I have 6 meal diet plan and I am staying away from the processed foods. The thing is most of the advices I've got was to take supplements and have a balanced diverse diet too.

Fact is I am trying to better myself and surpass the swimmer's phisique stereotype. And that's why I am asking your help I've noticed I tend to get over excited too often(Hmm...can't wait to have my next protein shake) so it means I have a large probability of screwing up dangerously.

Any answers to the other questions?
