I've never heard of Vit C being passed off as an energy drink.  The only vitamin I know of with a profound energy boost capability is Niacin (one of the B's).

Linus Pauling (the Vitamin C guru) used to take on the order of 10 grams of C a day.  It's a great antioxidant, and it's vital to just about every process in the human body.  But like Joey0 said, it's water-soluble, and any excess just ends up swirling down the toilet pipes.

HaHa! back in the day we used Niacin tabs to pass our drug tests.Niacin has a reputation as a flushing agent. It will give you a bit of a energy rush as well

I'm pretty sure you're referring to emergen-c. I take it once everyday as a substitue for my multi vitamin..i prefer drinking than swallowing pills..but, no, as the package advertises, i don't really notice any increase in energy.

I dont know, but there was a scientists i had to figure out his graphs, he fed rats with milk and put in a "secret ingredient"

turned out to be vitamins, and without them they didnt gain weight or lost it

Vitamins are very important, its not all protein and carbs you know.
Thats right guys, sugars in fruits are bad, they are simple sugars which will make you FAT, I mean we all know monkeys eat mainly fruit and look! THEYRE VERY FAT!

If you want a vitamin that gives you energy I would reccommend Panacea ... It's expensive but by far the only muli-vitamin that I believe makes a difference.  Its liquid and comes in a big bottle for about 60 bucks.  Most people feel an energy increase after 2-3 days of taking it.

I used to take loads of the vit C pill and I think alone it isn't worth much.  It's all about balance .. just like with everything else in life.
