100% Whey and Creatine Powder? - Wednesday, July 29, 2009 6:28 PM ( #1 )
Is it safe to use ON's Gold Standard 100% Whey and ON's Creatine powder together? Is it a effective combo to gain muscle/strength? If so, when should I take them?

You just described 2/3 of my post workout supplement stack.  Go ahead and throw 4g of ON's Glutamine powder in there too and you're golden.

Only do the whey + creatine (+ glutamine, if you're gonna do it at all) combo immediately after a workout.  You can use ON 100% Whey to boost the protein in any meal without adding anything else to it, but I wouldn't make a habit of drinking more than two servings of whey a day.  You should get as much of your protein from whole foods as possible.

Well pre workout will be needed depending on the timing of his workouts and nutrients. For example I work out first thing in the morning so I need to have some whey protein before I hit the GYM. Also some people coming off of work and going straight to the gym may not have an opportunity to eat between lunch and workout.

Yes taking creatine and Whey together is ok. I still take creatine pre and post workout but if anything post workout is the most important time to use. Post workout shake is a must. You can also throw in some sort of carb product like waxymaize post workout.
