ORIGINAL: Chasm378 A bit of mustard (or hotsauce if you're cutting). Some cheese. Why hotsauce if you are cutting? No calories in hot sauce (or fewer) compared to mustard.

RE: 1 in 30,000 eggs contain Salmonella

I just finished recovering from my bout with salmonella poisoning. I don't know whether it was from the raw eggs in the morning or the chinese buffet. Doesn't matter though. I'm going to MAKE SURE to be as cautious as possible from now on (and not eating raw eggs). Salmonella poisoning is one of the worst thigns I've dealt with in my life. It started off with just stomach cramps...and then the all hell broke loose. Lasted about 5 days for me. I kept trying to fight through it and just eating regularly and working out (my body had absolutely NO intention on eating, but I made it), bad idea. I eventually gave in on the 3rd day and just ate banana's and blueberries. I feel a lot better now, been a week and I finally have energy again. I checked my weight, lost 5 lbs...don't know how much was muscle and how much fat but I'd probably cry if I found out. All in all, if you can go through your life eating raw eggs and not get salmonella poisoning, then start playing the lottery you lucky ****.

Microwave is your friend. Like i said in the other post, 15 seconds and the avidin goes away, which gives same benefits as cooked eggs in terms of protein, + salmonella risks are gone.

Why not let your mum buy your eggs, you buy a smaller tub of protein powder and have the best of both worlds!? Makes more sense really.
